Whether it’s a treasured heirloom or a drawing your grandchild brought home from school, every piece deserves to be framed properly — by people who know what they’re doing.

We’re one of only a handful of Sunshine Coast framers registered with both the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA) and the Picture Framers Guild of Australia (PFGA), and we apply conservation-level techniques as standard. If something’s worth framing, it’s worth framing well. Done properly, it becomes something that lasts a lifetime, not something you redo in five years.

The Right Glass

Most people assume clear glass is enough if the artwork isn’t hung in direct sun. It isn’t — all light causes fading, and it can happen faster than you’d expect. Here’s what’s available, so you can choose with your eyes open:

• Clear glass — protects against dust and marks, but only around 40% UV protection
• Non-reflective glass — etched to diffuse glare, so your artwork stays visible in bright rooms; similar UV protection to clear glass (~40%)
• Clear conservation UV glass — up to 99% UV protection, recommended for anything you want to protect long-term
• Non-reflective conservation UV glass — the same 99% UV protection, with the added glare reduction
• Museum anti-reflective glass — our premium option: 99% UV protection with under 1% reflection
• UltraVue — looks like museum glass at a lower price point, with around 70% UV protection; a good option for budget-conscious pieces that don’t need decades of protection
• Clear and non-reflective acrylic — lightweight, shatterproof alternatives to glass, with similar UV properties to standard glass
• OP3 acrylic — our premium acrylic option: 99% UV protection, under 1% reflection
